Just what is a masticating juicer?

Centrifugal Ejection Juicer
A centrifugal ejection juicer works similarly to the centrifugal juicer, only in this case the pulp isn’t housed in the same area as the shredder. It’s ejected into a separate area, freeing up space to make more juice.
Due to how fast the shredding discs spin, the machine pulls in a lot of oxygen which makes its way into your juice and kills off enzymes.
This means that you’ll need to drink the juice quickly after making it easy to get all of the enzymes before they’re destroyed, and, once again, it won’t do much good with leafy greens.
Upright Masticating Juicer
In the case of an upright masticating juicer, the auger is placed vertically inside the machine, making it easier to fit into smaller spaces and perfect for apartments or condos.
An auger crushes fruits and veggies against a screen and the pulp is fed out into a hopper. This type of juicer is a lot slower but it’s far more efficient in juice extraction. There’s no fear of oxidization, and it’s great for use with leafy greens.
Masticating Juicer
At the risk of being redundant, we’ll keep this short! A regular masticating juice operates in the same way as an upright, only the auger is placed horizontally inside the machine, which makes it a bit bigger.
